Incoming calls ring your phone the same as any traditional phone. Everything is the same as what you’ve become accustomed to ~ voice quality, calling experience, etc. But, we route your calls more efficiently to save you money. Specifically, an IP phone is connected to an Ethernet switch, and that switch is connected to a router. The router routes calls to
iCloud's private network where it is processed by your company's or iCloud's IP-PBX switch. Depending on the call's final destination, it may be routed within the iCloud network or sent through the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) to reach the number dialed.

Incoming and outgoing phone calls are transmitted through the iCloud secure high-speed Network. Using a private dedicated circuit, calls are routed through point-to-point T-1, DSL or wireless lines.

The advantages of routing calls through the iCloud private network are many. In addition to lower phone costs, users experience seamless broadband connectivity with no down-time or sluggish network performance. iCloud engineers monitor and manage the network 24/7 to maintain optimum performance.
